Time's up: Wolves ace could be finished at Molineux as transfer report emerges - opinion

The latest transfer reports coming from Brazil have linked Wolverhampton Wanderers with Shakhtar Donetsk winger Pedrinho as boss Bruno Lage looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.

Wolves have enjoyed a good season under new boss Bruno Lage as they currently sit eighth with 49 points, just three off West Ham who occupies the Europa Conference League spot, however, they have only managed to win one of their last five, failing to score in four of the games.

All of their attackers have failed to hit double-digit goals this season with Raul Jimenez and Daniel Podence leading the way with six, new signing Hwang Hee-Chan with five and Francisco Trancao with two. However, the worst of the bunch is Portuguese 19-year-old Fabio Silva has failed to score or assist in all 21 appearances in the Premier League this season.

These poor performances from Silva and the rest of Wolves’ attacking options had led to the Lage seemingly looking to make additions in the transfer market, which could mean the end of Silva’s time in the midlands.

As journalist Sami Mokbel told GiveMeSport back in January, stating, “A striker for them, I’m sure, would be at the forefront of Bruno Lage’s mind. Jimenez is back, but they certainly want more goals and more of a different kind of threat than he would offer, as good as a player he is”.

TIF Thoughts on Pedrinho replacing Silva…

As mentioned above, Silva has failed to impact the Wolves side this season and his poor performances could force Lage to rethink his options up-front and replace him with a better player like Pedrinho.
