Tiger Woods reveals why Rory McIlroy Masters win is 'just a matter of time'

Tiger Woods reckons it's a matter of when, not if, Rory McIlroy will finally claim a Masters title.

The Irishman heads into this year's tournament one of the favourites as he looks to add one of the final feathers to his illustrious cap. It's eluded him so far, finishing a distant second to Scottie Scheffler in 2022, and he failed to even make the cut last year. But the world No.2 is playing some of the best golf of his life and you wouldn't bet against him going all the way in Augusta this year.

Legendary Woods certainly isn't. The five-time Masters champ said: “No question he’ll do it at some point. Rory is too talented. He’ll get it done, it’s just a matter of when. Rory will be a great Masters champion one day and it could be this week.

"You never know. The talent he has and the way he plays the game and the way the golf course fits his eye it’s just a matter of time.”
