Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s hurdle over L’Jarius Sneed last season is a moment that needs to be looked at again, purely because of how incredible it was. 

If ever there was a quarterback whose career can be described as going from mediocre to superstar like the flick of a switch, Josh Allen might be the perfect example of it, because his rise wasn’t exactly something that was gradual when it came to the NFL.

Having been taken with the #7 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, it took him a while before he became the force that he is today. He had to sit for the early part of his debut season in the league, and it took him a little bit of time to get used to how things are done in the big leagues.

Even after his second season, you’d be forgiven for thinking that he might be on his way to being seen as a bust, as he could only complete 58.8% of his passes, threw for just 3,089 yards, and only threw 20 touchdowns across the 16 game season, relying more on his legs to get him out of trouble as he crossed the goalline 9 times that year and put up 510 yards. 

Then though came the 2020 season and it all changed quicker than the snap of a ball.

His numbers shot up in comparison to the last season, as he threw for 4,544 yards, completed a so far career-best 69.2% of his passes and threw for 37 touchdowns, quickly establishing the Bills as the team to beat in the AFC East and putting them in contention to go deep in the playoffs.
