Three ways Manchester United could line-up if they seal Bryan Mbeumo transfer

After wrapping up the signing of Matheus Cunha last weekend, Manchester United have now set their sights on securing the signature of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.

Despite seeing an opening offer worth £55million turned down earlier this week, United are understood to remain in discussions with Brentford and an improved offer is expected to be submitted.

The Cameroon international, who scored 20 Premier League goals this season, wants to move to Old Trafford despite being linked with the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United, both of who have qualified for next season's Champions League.

The prospect of United adding Mbeumo to the signing of Cunha will significantly strengthen their attacking options. Between them, the pair have scored 56 Premier League goals since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

Mbeumo would also provide United with a versatile profile. With that said, MEN Sport has looked at three ways the Reds could line up if they secure the 25-year-old's signature:

The general consensus is that United are chasing Mbeumo's signature with the idea of deploying him as the right-sided No.10 in Ruben Amorim's trademark 3-4-2-1 formation. He has played predominantly as a right-winger throughout his time at Brentford, but he often drifts inside to take up threatening positions.

Amid that trait and his goalscoring record, he is a suitable fit for the right-sided No.10 role. He is also left-footed, and Amorim has gone on record he saying he prefers a left-footed player operating in that position.
