A GMFRS spokesman said: "“Shortly before 3pm on Thursday 25 May, firefighters were called out to a road traffic collision between a motorbike and two cars on Wigan Road in Westhoughton, Bolton.

"Two fire engines from Hindley and Atherton attended the incident and were there for around five minutes as they removed the vehicles from the roadway and made sure the scene was safe.

"Both car drivers and the motorbike rider were treated by North West Ambulance Service at the scene."

The road was reopened around 4.30pm.
