Three more schools in Greater Manchester confirmed with collapse-risk concrete
Three more schools in Greater Manchester - two primaries and a secondary - have been added to the Government's official list of educational settings with confirmed reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC).
They are Atherton St George's CE Primary School in Atherton, Wigan; Dean Trust Rose Bridge in Ince, Wigan, and St Stephen and All Martyrs' CE Primary School in Lever Bridge, Bolton. St Bernard's RC Primary School, also in Bolton, now also appears on the Department for Education's official list.
It brings the total number of schools and colleges in Greater Manchester where the potentially dangerous crumbling concrete has been found to 12. All pupils at the schools and colleges are said by the DfE on the list to be receiving 'face-to-face education on site or nearby'.

Nationally, the number of educational settings in England where the collapse-risk concrete has been found has risen, with another 43 schools and colleges now identified as having RAAC on site. Overall, 214 educational settings in England have now been confirmed with the concrete as of October 16, the DfE said.
Education unions criticised the delay in publishing the figures and expressed concerns about the lack of a clear timeline for when work will be completed.
The National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) said many schools are 'still waiting' for temporary classrooms and buildings to be put in place and that plans for rebuilding are 'even more nebulous'. Essex is the worst hit local authority with 63 schools confirmed with RAAC,
