Three Manchester United youngsters were positives vs Rosenborg

Manchester United's pre-season officially began against Rosenborg in Trondheim with a callow squad lacking seniority.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jonny Evans, Casemiro, Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford were the only established first-team squad members to feature in the 1-0 defeat at the Lerkendal Stadium.

United manager Erik ten Hag made ten changes at half-time as several academy players made their first appearance for the senior side. Habeeb Ogunneye, Rhys Bennett, Sonny Aljofree, Harry Amass, Maxi Oyedele, Toby Collyer, Ethan Ennis and Jack Fletcher got their first minutes under Ten Hag.
