Three and easy for Creetown in comfortable win over Lochmaben
Creetown recorded a comfortable win at home against Lochmaben.
David Hughes bagged a first half brace with Dean Agnew also getting in on the act.
Gaffer Martin McCaulay said: “We got the job done in the first half and it was pretty comfortable from there.
“I asked the players to kick on from the good result they had the week before against Abbey Vale in the cup and it was our first league game since January 4.
“We got a goal after four minutes and it was a great start – it gave us a platform and we had the confidence up.
“The football we played in the first half hour was excellent and after 15 or 20 minutes we were 2-0 up.
“Once you get a couple of goals up you can enjoy it a bit more and the football we played was a joy to watch.
“It allowed me to use my squad in the second half and get minutes into boys who haven’t played as much in recent weeks.
“With the changes you’re maybe not getting the same fluidity but we were never under any threat, it was pretty comfortable in the second half and the boys saw out the job they way they should.”

Creetown had been due to face Lochar Thistle in a crucial league match this weekend.
Instead, they find themselves without a game as the Dumfries side are facing Stranraer in the Tweedie Cup.
McCaulay said: “It’s a bit disappointing as 2025 has been a bit start/stop for us. After getting the result against Abbey Vale and a comfortable 3-0 win on Saturday you just want to keep going.
“There’s nothing we can do about it.
“It’s frustrating because we had two good wins and six goals and you just want to keep that momentum going. It’s not to be and it’s another free week for us.”
