Thomas Tuchel will have to make the same promise at Manchester United as he did at Chelsea

Manchester United fired a third successive Premier League blank by drawing 0-0 with Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.

Tuchel is one of the most attractive coaches that is currently out of work, meaning he is attainable. He was of interest to United during the summer.

Although his stock did fall towards the end of his time in charge of Bayern, Tuchel still boasts an impressive CV, including three league titles and a Champions League crown. He won the Champions League during his time at Chelsea, leading them to European glory in 2021.

Tuchel was installed at Stamford Bridge in January that year, succeeding Frank Lampard, and he made an immediate impact, leading them to a top four finish, the Champions League crown and the FA Cup final. Much of Chelsea's success after his mid-season appointment was built on defensive solidity, with many victories secured by narrow scorelines.
