Thomas Tuchel has played down talk that Chelsea can now benefit on the pitch after the statement confirming Todd Boehly's consortium have agreed to terms to become the new ownership group of the club. Tuchel was speaking after his Blues side threw away a two-goal lead against Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea are now in a race to secure a place in this season's top four, with Arsenal four points below their London rivals. If the Gunners can beat Leeds United on Sunday, they will move within a point of the Blues.
Tuchel, though, has denied that the ownership situation has had an impact on the side's performances, with Chelsea winning just two Premier League matches since the start of April. "I don't think ownership is a reason for lack of focus. We showed when the situation began that we can still focus," the Chelsea head coach said.
"I would not consider this as an advantage for Leeds. It does not change much for us as the sanctions are not lifted. It's not worth thinking about, we have our own stuff to solve and make better."
