“This lad is talented” – Derby County fan pundit discusses Luke Plange’s potential after Crystal Palace move

Luke Plange burst onto the scene for Derby County in December, scoring two goals in his first four appearances for the club. 

Plange looked so impressive that the former Arsenal youth player earned himself a Premier League move in the January window, joining Crystal Palace.

The 19-year-old was loaned back to Derby County as part of the agreement and has continued to feature regularly for The Rams.

Given the youngster has already earned himself a Premier League move, we asked FLW’s Derby County fan pundit Jason Straw his opinion on whether or not Plange can be a star for Crystal Palace in the top-flight.

“Luke Plange, I mean, he burst onto the scene.” Jason told FLW.

“He made some decent performances for the first team, obviously got that January transfer deadline move away and then we’ve actually we’ve seen a different side of him in some respects.

“I don’t think anybody really expected him to continue on the trajectory that he’s on, so I think it was always going to be fits and starts with him.

“He’s not quite had the impact over the last few games, but this lad is talented there’s no doubt about that.

“With the right nurturing, the right team around him, the right coaching, right opportunity and bit of luck you need in football sometimes as a youngster he can go on to be a great player in the Premier League.

“He’s got a lot of tools in the locker, we’ve seen glimpses of them already as an 18 year old in the championship.
