This insane James Bradberry interception from 2020 should leave Eagles fans ecstatic

Philadelphia Eagles fans are set to be in for a treat following news that James Bradberry has signed for them.

The cornerback caused something of a stir this offseason when the New York Giants released him from his contract after they couldn’t find a trade partner for him, although their decision to want to get rid of him was rather weird in the first place.

Bradberry has established himself as one of the better cornerbacks in the league, in his 91 games as a starter, he’s put together 82 pass deflections, 15 interceptions and 380 tackles, and the Giants had signed him to a 3-year deal as recently as 2020.

Obviously they felt he was worth more to them in trade value than he was on the field, but it still seems strange to simply cut him rather than utilise him whilst he’s still got something to give.

But it seems as if there is one team out there who felt he could bring them value on the field, that being the Philadelphia Eagles, as it was announced that they had signed him to a one-year deal, with further reports claiming it would cost them $10m for the privilege:

Whilst the Eagles weren’t terrible last year in pass defence, ranking 11th in terms of yards given up with 3,756, but clearly they want to break that top 10 and turn themselves into an even better defensive unit to help get them back to the Super Bowl.

Whilst the Eagles were pretty solid through the air, one thing that they did lack in was takeaways, as they only made 12 interceptions last season, and that’s where Bradberry could really come in to help them.
