This Cheshire care home brings celebrities and the beach to its residents
A care home in Cheshire brought a day at the beach to their residents with their annual tropical-themed party.
Brookview Bupa care home organised an event for their residents so they wouldn’t forget with local celebrities and councillors joining the fun.
The party consisted of inflatable and decorative palm trees, flower necklaces, tropical-themed drinks and even the sun shining on the party.

With the event occurring once a year, this gives residents an event they can look forward to and take part in with friends, family and locals.
Notable figures were in attendance at the party with Mancunian-born singer, Russell Watson and Deputy Leader of the Cheshire East Council, Councillor Craig Browne.
Christina Roberts, a resident at Brookview Bupa care home hit 100 years old earlier this year and was in full praise of the annual party.
She said: “I had a wonderful time during the party, the array of snacks and drinks was delicious. It was lovely to meet Russell, he is a very friendly gentleman.”
Another resident Beryl Wright, commented: “It was a fantastic afternoon at the home, the sun even made an appearance!
She continued: “My favourite part was listening to Russell Watson sing while we ate dinner. It was so beautiful; it brought a tear to my eye.”
Sharon Helliwell Short, Home Manager at Brookview Bupa care Home, commented: “Our residents had a lovely afternoon, and the sun started shining for us, which was brilliant!
“It was lovely to see the residents engaging with Russell, we were so pleased he came. It is incredibly important to us at Brookview to host events such as these as they really boost our residents’ well-being.”
