Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Peter Schmeichel disagree on Champions League outcome

Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Peter Schmeichel have all disagreed on their winners of the Champions League.

The last eight is in full flow with Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all flying the flag for the English sides whilst Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are both still in contention. The Blues are looking to become the second team in the Champions League era to defend their crown - but neither of the trio are backing them to even make the final.

Carragher believes his former side will win the trophy for the second time in three years following their triumph in 2019. He has predicted a Liverpool - Manchester City final, as has Henry, but he thinks the Premier League champions will beat their domestic rivals in Paris.

Schmeichel meanwhile doesn't think either English side will make the final, predicting them both to go out in the last four as they attempt to juggle European and domestic challenges. The Dane believes Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will make it down to the final game with the Germans winning out, claiming a seventh European Cup.

He said on CBS Sports : "There is too much going on between Liverpool and Man City. Too much pressure. Real Madrid and Bayern are so far ahead in their leagues, they can rest players, they can prepare for this. Man City and Liverpool can’t." Carragher though took issue with his explanation.

Victory for Madrid would see Carlo Ancelotti become the first manager to win the Champions League four times. He led Los Blancos to European glory back in 2014. Julian Nagelsmann meanwhile is aiming to win the tournament in his first year at the Allianz Arena.
