Thiago Silva has taken to social media to have his say on Chelsea after their 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Blues will be hoping they can improve on the past two seasons in the competition, where they finished as runners up both times.

In 2020, Frank Lampard’s side lost out to London rivals Arsenal, while last season saw Thomas Tuchel’s men lose out to Leicester City at Wembley.

This season could prove third time lucky for them, with Tuchel already booking a place in the Carabao Cup final for the end of this month too.

Chelsea know they will definitely be in the fifth round of the FA Cup, having overcome lower league opposition in Chesterfield and Plymouth.

The home side did go a goal down early against Argyle, though club captain Cesar Azpilicueta responded with a neat flick at the near-post to equalise.

The game went to extra-time, where Marcos Alonso managed to find a breakthrough for the Blues.

Kepa Arrizabalaga had to be called into action late on, saving a penalty that was given away by Malang Sarr from a mistake.

Experienced centre-back Thiago Silva was not involved in the victory, having only recently returned from international duty with Brazil in the past week.
