BBC Scotland journalist Fraser Fletcher has claimed that Rangers want to become one of the most renowned teams in the world when it comes to developing young talent.

After the Gers announced the signing of Cameron Bell, the reporter stated that the Light Blues are looking to add more players to their youth squad.

The B Team confirmed the signing of the Premier League prospect: “Rangers Academy are delighted to welcome @ScotlandNT Youth International, Cameron Bell, who joins from Everton. Cameron (16) will go into our under 18 squad working alongside Cameron Campbell and Stevie Smith. Welcome to Rangers Cameron.”

Fletcher then Tweeted: “Rangers have big project to make academy one of the best around. Major ambition from Rangers to produce and bring in the best young talent, today Cameron Bell Joins from Everton and more to be announced soon they hope.”

This comes after the B Team secured the signings of Zak Lovelace from Millwall and Archie Stevens from AFC Wimbledon.

The Gers head coach will surely be left excited by this news as it shows that the club are set to make big strides with their youth team. They want to be the go-to place for talent wanting to make their way up in the game and the signings of Bell and Lovelace are just the start.
