"Host of clubs..": Reporter issues Rangers transfer claim that'll leave GvB worried - opinion

An update has emerged on Glasgow Rangers gem Glen Kamara and interest in his services in the summer transfer window…

90min reporter Graeme Bailey has revealed that the Rangers midfielder has been the subject of an offer from a European giant this week, whilst a number of other teams are also keen on the Gers star.

The accompanying article names Marseille, RB Leipzig, Brighton and Frankfurt as the other sides eyeing up the gem, who will not be allowed to leave for £8m this summer.

This claim will surely leave the Ibrox head coach worried as interest in the midfielder appears to be growing and it remains to be seen how the player feels about a potential move.

A transfer to a major European league, whether that is the Premier League, the Bundesliga, or Ligue 1, could be tempting for the former Arsenal man. It would offer him a step up in his career to play regularly in a top five domestic league, along with guaranteed Champions League football with Marseille, Frankfurt and Leipzig.

Losing Kamara would be a huge blow to Rangers’ squad as he is a proven Premiership performer who would leave a big gap in the team.

In the top-flight last term, the Finland international averaged a SofaScore rating of 7.01 across 31 outings. He completed an impressive 91% of his attempted passes and made 1.3 key passes per game as he showcased his immense passing ability.

This came after he averaged a score of 6.99 in 33 games the previous campaign – completing 91% of his passes and creating 0.8 chances per match.
