A stunning abbey with luxury bed and breakfast suites nestled in the Cheshire countryside has been recognised by the “special and unique” experience it offers.
Combermere Abbey’s North Wing B&B suites, an hour’s drive away from Greater Manchester has housed everyone from royalty to religious elites over the last few years, and now the public can enjoy its indulgent overnight stays too. The abbey was named ‘Small Serviced Accommodation Provider of the Year’ in the annual Marketing Cheshire tourism awards and was highly commended in the ‘Cheshire Wedding Venue’ category, Cheshire Live reports.
Combermere Abbey’s suites are perfect for romantic getaways, anniversary celebrations or for just a relaxing break away. Friends or mothers and daughters planning a break away can book the Bhurtpore room, which has the option to become a twin bedroom.

Guests in the Salamanca room, the larger of the two suites, can enjoy impressive views of the mere, which is one of the UK’s largest privately owned bodies of water, from both the bedroom and the bathroom. Guests of the North Wing are looked after by the house manager, who serves their breakfast in the morning but can also make restaurant reservations, arrange taxis and answer any questions about the history of the abbey.
The abbey boasts beautiful grounds and guests can enjoy the nature it has to offer on its doorstep. Its Woodland Walks are a must, especially at this time of year when the bluebells come into bloom in the woods.
