"The understanding I get" - Transfer insider now drops fresh West Ham and Jesse Lingard update

West Ham feel they have done all they can to try to entice Jesse Lingard back to the London Stadium, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Lingard spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at West Ham, but getting him to join the club on a permanent basis has been a major struggle for the Hammers.

It has now been confirmed that Lingard will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the month when his contract expires, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Lingard has held talks with West Ham over a potential return to east London.

West Ham have been trying to tie Lingard down to a permanent contract for the last 12 months, and it must surely be last chance saloon territory for him to finally move
