'The truth of it is' - Mark Robins gives verdict on Man United issue Erik ten Hag won't acknowledge
Coventry City manager Mark Robins does not believe the volume of shots Manchester United have faced in recent weeks will strengthen his side's chances of pulling off an FA Cup upset this weekend.
The two sides meet in the semi-finals of the competition at Wembley on Sunday afternoon, marking their first coming together since 2007. United head into the contest knowing they must win to keep their season alive after a series of disappointments.
The Reds have experienced a forgettable campaign thus far and can only salvage what is left of it by winning the FA Cup. The Reds are currently 13 points shy of the top four after a run of four Premier League games without a win.

Drawing three and losing one during that sequence, United have faced a barrage of shots from their opponents, conceding 107 since the March international break. Such a horrifying statistic, which has gained its fair share of attention, is enough to give any team facing the Reds confidence.
However, Coventry boss Robins has played down suggestions his side could benefit from United's defensive frailties, pointing to the undisputed quality Erik ten Hag has available to him.
"We have to go into this game understanding what the threats are and there are significant ones because they have top players," Robins told Coventry's club website. "For people who say Manchester United are this and that and concede a lot of shots, you're talking about a team that are full of talented, top international players that play at that level every week.
