The transfer domino effect that could see Aston Villa complete two sensational deals

Aston Villa are reportedly locked in negotiations with Juventus for Rodrigo Bentancur, who joined the Serie A giants in 2017 from Boca Juniors.

Upon completion of this deal, the Argentinian side inserted a sell-on clause of around 50 percent of any future sale of the player. This clause is said to be proving to be a stumbling block as Villa attempt to acquire the player.

His talents were noticed in France and he went on to sign for Montpellier prior to the 2020/21 season for around £5million. He has since gone on to score 17 goals and record three assists in 43 starts, reportedly doubling his market value in the process.

The player is now being heavily linked with a return to England, with West Ham United, Newcastle United and Aston Villa all being linked with the player who predominantly operates down the left wing.

Tuttomercatoweb report that if a move is completed, Juventus will be entitled to a sell-on clause for the player. Therefore,
