The reason WWE stopped Randy Orton & Kurt Angle from riding to shows together
Randy Orton and Kurt Angle were once told they weren’t able to ride together in WWE anymore for a rather interesting reason.
Angle and Orton rode together to-and-from WWE shows, as Kim Orton revealed on the Wives of Wrestling podcast.
Orton revealed that her husband and Kurt were then told they weren’t able to travel together anymore as they always ended up being late.
I think it was after that time they told Randy he wasn’t allowed to drive with Kurt because he kept being late. So like, he was nervous, he was new, and he had to be on time, and they were like, ‘Hey, you need to be here on time.’
Kim went on to say that Orton thought he could mention he was driving with Kurt and get away with it, but people within WWE didn’t think the same way:
He was like, ‘Oh, you know, I was driving with Kurt.’ He thought he had kind of like the pass because he was with Kurt. They were like, ‘No, no, no, he (Kurt) has the pass; you have to be here on time.’ So, they were like maybe; you don’t drive with him anymore.
Randy and Kurt are two of the most decorated WWE Superstars in history, holding 19 world titles between them.
Kurt was rumoured to be returning to WWE at the beginning of this year, for a feud involving Randy Orton, but those plans fell through.
Orton, despite being a 20-year veteran, has cemented himself as still one of WWE’s top stars over the last year or so, and is seen by many as one of wrestling’s top babyfaces.
Randy is off TV right now with a storyline injury, but he’s rumoured to be returning for a huge match with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
