Manchester United need reinforcements up front. Cristiano Ronaldo has been the club's most prolific goalscorer this season, notching 24 goals across all competitions, but the next highest scorer is Bruno Fernandes with 10 and no other player has scored more than six - this is simply not good enough.

The hope is that Erik ten Hag will help Marcus Rashford rediscover his best form and players like Jadon Sancho will finally deliver the goods at United. But there is still room to improve the squad even further.

Ronaldo cannot be expected to carry the team's goalscoring threat throughout an entire season. Sancho looked a little brighter in the second half of the season, though it seems he's more comfortable playing on the left and so United still need to address their problems on the right-hand side of the frontline. This means a new addition will likely need to be made.

And plenty of the fans believe that the signing United should make to solve their problems is Christopher Nkunku. The RB Leipzig forward is incredibly versatile and can play anywhere across the frontline and even behind the striker.

But it's not just his versatility that has got United fans excited. In 51 games this season, the 24-year-old forward has 35 goals and 20 assists, with his performances earning him the Bundesliga Player of the Season award.

However, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also interested in the Frenchman's services and with United unable to offer him Champions League football, Ten Hag will have to be able to convince him of the project at Old Trafford. United fans will also be hoping that Ralf Rangnick's connection with Leipzig will help the club close
