The nightmare Kyogo injury timeline revealed by Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers as he leaves key call with striker

Brendan Rodgers confirmed Kyogo Furuhashi needs shoulder surgery but it would rule him out for four months.

The Japanese striker missed the 3-1 Premier Sports Cup win over Hibs with the problem and then watched as his fellow countryman Daizen Maeda came in and netted a brace Rodgers confirmed that Kyogo has been managing the issue long before he came to Celtic and he will leave it up to his frontman to decide whether or not he wants to go under the knife. The problem for Celtic is that they aren’t awash with front-line options. Adam Idah just returned after his summer move from Norwich City and is still finding his feet, although Maeda can also play there.
