The National League South game between Weston-super-Mare and Tonbridge Angels abandoned after a medical emergency in the crowd
Tonbridge’s National League South game at Weston-super-Mare was abandoned due to a medical emergency in the crowd.
Angels were winning 1-0, thanks to Taylor Maloney’s first-half screamer, when play was halted in the 82nd minute.
The players were taken off the pitch two minutes later and the match was eventually abandoned shortly before 5.10pm.
“We wish the supporter a full recovery,” Angels said on X.
It will be down to the league board to decide whether the result will stand or the match should be replayed.
As things stand, Weston are two points behind Maidstone, who occupy the final play-off place.
