The Manchester company that took on Covid-19 and won

The ability to thrive on a challenge is a great asset to any business. But for one Manchester-based company, a can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves approach in the face of both the Covid-19 pandemic and a major move has served both it and its customers very well indeed.

MSL (UK) Ltd, a Third Party Logistics provider (3PL), had already built an enviable reputation for its extensive services to the warehousing and distribution sector across the North West, nationally and internationally.

So it certainly wasn’t going to allow a global pandemic to knock it off course. Instead, under the leadership of Adeel Ashraf, the company took the bold move to relocate from its old site in Oldham to a new HQ at Trafford Park - freeing up extra space and allowing for further development.

“We needed to relocate and move over 15,000 pallets of goods while also maintaining our 3PL services for their customers,” explained Adeel.

“It was a daunting task, but our team was determined to overcome it. They rolled up their sleeves and got to work, putting in long hours and utilising their expertise to make the relocation as seamless as possible.

“The hard work paid off, we have emerged from the stressful period of the pandemic and the relocation with a new-found sense of resilience.”

But MSL UK - which offers a range of services including pick-and-pack, re-work, distribution, document archiving, and simple and secure storage - didn’t stop there. It has now expanded its e-commerce fulfilment services to help small and large customers with their online orders.

And there is investment into new technology and equipment, including a cutting-edge warehouse management system and automation to increase the quantity and quality of e-commerce fulfilment services.
