The Manchester brunch spots that have been ranked in the top 10 in the UK

Manchester has no shortage of first rate brunch places, so it’s no surprise that some of its most popular spots are now getting some national recognition. Data scraped from the likes of Trip Advisor, Google reviews and Instagram hashtags has been used to make up the list, with three from the top 10 being in Manchester.

The top spot in the city is, according to the numbers, The Ivy in Spinningfields, the branch of the upscale eatery chain. It sits at number five in the top 10, and changes its brunch menu monthly.

It is currently serving seasonal specials like a thinly beaten rump steak and chips for £18.50 and a lobster and watermelon salad at £35.95. It also has brunch specials like eggs benedict with smoked salmon for £16.95 and Belgian waffles for £13.95.

Next on the list is the hit Northern Quarter restaurant Ezra & Gil, known for its queue snaking down the street. The Hilton Street spot, which first opened in 2015 and has a sister site on Peter Street, serves breakfast until 5pm, from nduja scrambled eggs at £9.50 to a classic fry up for £12.50.

Then it’s Antipodean-inspired Federal in at number 10, another place that fends off queues every day of the week. It’s known for its excellent brunch dishes and also its pastel de nata pastries.

Federal has three sites in the city, one on Deansgate, one on Circle Square on Oxford Road and the original branch on Nicholas Croft by Shudehill in the Northern Quarter.
