The magical hotel straight out of Harry Potter 40 minutes from Greater Manchester
Located in the heart of one of Cheshire’s best-known villages is a pretty ivy-clad thatched cottage. From the outside it looks like a traditional country dwelling, yet step inside and you’ll discover an interior which is straight out of a Harry Potter film.
The aptly named Wizard’s Thatch is a small hotel which has three self-contained suites with no shortage of magic between them - it’s also been dubbed one of the “most romantic places to stay” in England. Despite its rustic appearance, the cottage lies in the centre of Alderley Edge and it is just a few minutes’ walk away from the village’s restaurants and bars, which are often popular haunts with celebrities. The cottage is a short distance from The Edge, a sandstone escarpment with glorious countryside views.
