The luxury campsite with a heated outdoor pool and wild deero

Glamping is the perfect way to combine nature and comfort; you can wake up after a restful night’s sleep and immediately step outside into a field. It’s camping but for those of us who prefer a touch of luxury.

Just over an hour’s drive away from Manchester in the stunning landscape of the Ribble Valley and on the edge of the Forest of Bowland is Ribblesdale Park at Gisburne Park Estate. This summer it launched an exclusive glamping village, offering the perfect rural retreat.

There are 10 fully-furnished bell tents set in a six acre field in the shadows of the estate’s Grade I listed mansion. Each one has a double bed with bedding and towels included so you won’t need a sleeping bag.

The tents all have electricity and plug sockets, as well as a fire pit outside (a small amount of wood is provided) and guests can also rent out barbecues too. The tents all have a decked area with a table and chairs so you can enjoy some alfresco dining.

Individual showers and toilets are housed in quirky ‘shacks’ a short walk away from the tents. Children are welcome to stay too with camp beds available for them.

But what makes your glamping experience at Ribblesdale Park even more special is the facilities it has to offer. There’s a heated outdoor pool you can enjoy for the ultimate holiday experience and even an onsite masseuse to really help you relax.

Roaming around the site are wild Sika deer - you may even spot one near your tent when you first wake up - and there’s plenty of other wildlife to spot as the grounds are set in a 1,000 acre estate. Thanks to the estate’s location it’s easy to explore the nearby Yorkshire Dales
