The latest Aston Villa injury news ahead of Southampton clash

Aston Villa recorded their first win in eight games after a 2-0 win over Brighton Hove & Albion last weekend.

Goals from Matty Cash and Ollie Watkins sealed all three points to go with a clean sheet on the south coast.

Another positive from the weekend for Villa was the continued return from injury of Leon Bailey, who was an unused substitute.

Here's the latest Villa injury news from Bodymoor Heath...

: Hamstring.

: March 3 (potentially vs Southampton)

: Traore returned to fitness for the Africa Cup of Nations but then picked up an injury on his return from Cameroon.

The injury website Premier Injuries gave the player a 50 per cent chance of returning for the match against Brighton but Traore remained sidelined.

: "Unfortunately, we're going to lose Berto for a few weeks. He's got a hamstring injury off the back of the Afcon which I'm frustrated about."

: Knee.

: April 2 (potentially vs Wolves).

: Nakamba is battling to return from a knee injury he picked up against Liverpool on December 11, which required surgery.

: "He’s going to be missing for somewhere in the region of 12 weeks if it is a fantastic rehab or it could be up to 16 weeks," he said back in December.
