The latest Aston Villa injury news ahead of Southampton clash

Aston Villa recorded their first win in eight games after a 2-0 win over Brighton Hove & Albion last weekend.

Goals from Matty Cash and Ollie Watkins sealed all three points to go with a clean sheet on the south coast.

Another positive from the weekend for Villa was the continued return from injury of Leon Bailey, who was an unused substitute.

: Traore returned to fitness for the Africa Cup of Nations but then picked up an injury on his return from Cameroon.

The injury website Premier Injuries gave the player a 50 per cent chance of returning for the match against Brighton but Traore remained sidelined.
