The Killers at Emirates Old Trafford - stage times, support, set list, parking and road closures

The Killers are preparing for a triumphant return to Manchester this weekend - with a huge stadium gig at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground. The Las Vegas rock lords stop off in Manchester amid their acclaimed UK and world tour.

Frontman Brandon Flowers, ever the imperious showman, is said to be in brilliant form, if the rave reviews from the band's shows in Sheffield and London are to be believed. Brandon has often referred to the UK as the band's "spiritual home" and if any city could lay claim to their main inspiration it's Manchester.

Their very name, The Killers, famously came from the fictional band in the video of New Order's Crystal, of course. So what can we expect from their big Old Trafford gig this weekend?

Looking at setlists from previous gigs fans will be delighted to hear that many of the band's biggest anthems will make it into the show - with Mr Britghtside and All These Things That I've Done looking like the likely finale tracks. But Hot Fuss aside, there is set to be plenty of showing from the band's other acclaimed albums including Sam's Town and Day & Age as well as their most recent studio outing Pressure Machine.

Fans will want to get their early for this gig, because support comes from Stockport's very own rock idols Blossoms at the Saturday night show. Fresh from the release of their latest chart-topping album, Ribbon Around the Bomb, the rockers will be in buoyant form.

We can expect to hear some of the band's brilliant songs from the back catalogue like Charlemagne and Your Girlfriend, as well as a selection from their new album which was released in April to rave reviews.
