Man, 20, charged after allegedly attempting to steal car from woman with knife
A man has been charged following an attempted robbery with a knife in south Manchester this week. Lewis Anderson, 20, has been charged with attempt robbery and possession of a knife in a public place, police say, after an incident in Didsbury.
Police say Anderson approached a woman on June 5, making threats with a knife and to steal her car. He was arrested in the Didsbury area on the morning of June 7 and found with a knife.
Anderson is set to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (June 8).
