The Guardian reporter, others listed, as DELSAFA final, awards hold today

The final of the 2022/2023 Delta State Allstars Football Association (DELSAFA) Championship will hold today in Oghara, headquarters of Ethiope-West LGA of Delta State.

After months of competition around the state, Express Allstars, Udu, and their counterparts from Agbarho will clash in today’s final.

To get to the final, Express Allstars defeated Uvwie Ex-players 3-0 in the quarterfinal, eliminated Delta Strikers Allstars, Effurun, 11-10 in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw in the semifinal.

On its part, Agbarho Allstars defeated Okpanam Allstars 3-1 in the quarterfinal and stopped Cornerlux Allstars, Ugborikoko, Uvwie LGA 1-0 to reach the final.

It is the first time the final and award ceremony of the Allstars Football Association (DELSAFA), will hold in Oghara.

Meanwhile, DELSAFA has listed The Guardian’s Gowon Akpodonor and other top personalities for award this evening at a ceremony slated for Oghara Township Stadium.

A statement by the President General, DELSAFA Championship 2022/2023 Awardee’, Mr Edwin Ofa, yesterday, said: “Dear Gowon Akpodonor, this is to inform you, that Delta State Allstars Football Association (DELSAFA), has found you worthy of a State (DELSAFA) Award. Your presence will be a great pleasure and honour to us as an Association.
