The four transfer holes Preston North End & Ryan Lowe must solve before deadline day
Preston North End are only half way through their summer recruitment, with manager Ryan Lowe wanting four more additions before close of play on September 1st.
Freddie Woodman, Dai Cornell, Robbie Brady and Ben Woodburn have been snapped up by the Lilywhites but Lowe knows his squad is not complete yet. The North End chief has been vocal about the positions he wants strengthening, and PNE are still short in key areas as things stand.
Here's the story of each targeted position so far and the names in the frame.

There is no real clear priority among these three positions, because PNE really need to improve all of them. Brad Potts does a job out there for Lowe but he needs competition just as much as the North End boss requires a specialist down the right flank.
North End have been linked with the likes of Cyrus Christie, Marlon Fossey and Moses Odubajo - who has moved to Aris FC along with Andre Gray. Christie remains without a club but North End were believed to be exploring other options recently.
Lowe has the experience of Robbie Brady on the opposite side, but the PNE boss is lacking pace out wide and that is a trait you feel he will be keen to have in a new right wing-back. The Premier League loan market is expected to speed up over the next week or so and that may present the Lilywhites with opportunities to explore.
Brady, if he can stay fit, looks a potential steal for PNE. He has been the stand-out performer in pre-season friendlies, with real quality in the left boot of his. North End saw a move for Xavi Quintilla break down earlier this summer due to work permit issues, and Lowe wants another signing out there still.
"Oh yeah, definitely, he needs it," Lowe
