The Fonz responds to 'big Ange' as Henry Winkler gives Tottenham boss the thumbs up after Happy Days nod
It's the link-up that no one saw coming but the Fonz has given the thumbs up to Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham side.
Prior to their encounter with Liverpool, which they dramatically and controversially won 2-1, the former Celtic boss used an analogy involving the seminal show Happy Days to outline why his childhood love for Liverpool wasn't a factor anymore and Henry Winkler clearly took note.
And in a video tweeted this evening, Winkler said: "Big Ange, hello from LA, California. Our congratulations on your win today, Henry Winkler here aka the Fonz. So, if I signed a poster for you right now, would you put it back on your wall? That is the question." With an Aussie saying and The Fonz's catchphrase to round it off: "Fair dinkum. Aaay"
Postecoglou quipped: "Like any kid, I had the posters up on the wall. Liverpool was my team, but you grow up, things change. I used to love Happy Days. But I don't have posters of The Fonz on my wall now. That’s how it goes." Now, though, the man himself has replied and hopes an autograph may tempt him to get the drawing pins out and fire the poster backup.
