The clubs linked with signing Mason Greenwood after Manchester United exit confirmed

Forward Mason Greenwood is being linked with a cluster of overseas clubs after it was announced on Monday afternoon that he will leave Manchester United.

Following a six-and-a-half-month investigation into Greenwood, United have decided that "it would be most appropriate for him" to recommence his career elsewhere. Greenwood maintained his innocence and said in a statement released via United that he "did not do the things I was accused of". He said that he "made mistakes" and "I take my share of responsibility for the situations which led to the social media post".

Following Monday's events, Greenwood will now resume his career elsewhere, though the forward is not thought to have anything lined up so far. United say they are focused on finding a path for Greenwood to continue his career elsewhere in an environment that is suitable for him and his young family.

The same report claims that he is on the radar of former United manager Jose Mourinho's AS Roma. It is reported that the Italian outfit
