The Celtic or Rangers title predictor as Boyd, Lennon, Warburton and Sutton share Scottish Premiership hunch
It's almost time for the new Scottish Premiership campaign – and it once again looks to be between the choice of two sides in Scotland.
It has been a big 12 months for the two standout sides in Scotland as Celtic and Rangers prepare for the new campaign with different bosses than led them out last season. The Gio van Bronckhorst and Ange Postecoglou eras are now just distant memories as Brendan Rodgers and Michael Beale look to secure domestic supremacy and claim the title this term.
Returning Rodgers has a lot to live up to in his second spell with Postecogou leading the Hoops to a clean sweep of honours last season and a historic eighth Treble – but he is all to familiar with bringing trophies to Celtic Park after a glittering first stint in Glasgow's east end. In contrast, Beale will look to claim his first silverware since taking the top job at Ibrox - but has the experience of winning the Premiership alongside Steven Gerrard.
However, will it be Callum McGregor or James Tavernier lifting the trophy aloft in May? Record Sport takes a look at what four men who have been over the course before have said.
Rangers hero Kris Boyd has high hopes for the new Premiership season after Beale's signing spree. But he admitted to Sky Sports that his former side must take advantage of some "kind" early fixtures.
"Beale was part of a successful winning team and he might be looking at it in terms of disappointment because they had an opportunity to kick on from there. If you had given Steven Gerrard the money he's been given, then Rangers might not be in the position they're in.
"Celtic have been the dominant force in Scottish football. Yes, Rangers won the last Old Firm meeting of last season and performed well in other games
