The celebrities who are at the Chanel fashion show event in Manchester

One of the world's biggest fashion brands has put Manchester centre stage this week in one of the biggest events of its calendar. The Chanel Métiers d’Art event is taking place tonight (Thursday) on Thomas Street, in the Northern Quarter.

As well as limousines full of models and VIP guests, the show has attracted A-list celebs we all recognise to the city. Star spotter have been out in force since Wednesday (December 6) night, when a VIP party was held at the Salford Lads Club.

The club, famous for its links to 1980s band The Smiths, was packed with guests andas well as local stars. The guest list saw Twilight film star Kristen Stewart rubbing shoulders with Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman and Salford bard John Cooper Clarke.

But who are the great and the good of celebrity and fashion who have turned up on our doorsteps? Here's a who's who of Chanel's celebrity guests so far.

Kirsten Stewart

The actor is best known for her portrayal as lovesick teen Bella Swan in the Twilight series. She was also romantically linked to her co-star at the time, Robert Pattinson.

Hugh Grant

Elder statesman of British cinema, Grant made his name as a bumbling Englishman in Richard Curtis films like Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill. He is currently appearing in Wonka alongside Timothée Chalamet.

Tilda Swinton

The British actor has been seen in everything from The Chronicles of Narnia to Adaptation after breaking through in We Need To Talk About Kevin. She's as much of a fashion icon - and Chanel ambassador - as an acting great.

Aitch

The rapper, from Moston,
