The best Amazon Black Friday early deals and discounts as they happen

Black Friday will take place on Friday 25 November 2022 but shoppers will need to be searching for deals long before that date to get the best discounts. The Friday will be the date where all of the biggest discounts and sale items will be made available to the public.

However, Black Friday is rarely a single day of discounts and that means the date is not completely set in stone. In previous years Amazon has held over a week of Black Friday sales, lasting from the previous Friday right through to Cyber Monday after Black Friday.

The deals in the preceding week usually feature big discounts on technology and fashion but the biggest and best sales are usually found on Black Friday itself. Last year Amazon cut the price of the Echo Dot, Fire Stick and Kindle in the week before Black Friday in some of the biggest early deals.

Shoppers can get some deals early by visiting the Amazon deals section. Black Friday deals will fall into one of two categories; daily deals or Lightning Deals. Daily deals are your standard reductions and despite the name they may last several days in the run up to Black Friday.

Lightning Deals are launched for short periods only. You can see them listed before they go live but Amazon Prime members will get the first chance to buy them. Lightning Deals are usually some of the biggest discounts on Black Friday but they are timed and can run out quickly. They can also end early if enough of the items have been sold so you will have to move quickly.
