Neymar, Ronaldo, Messi: Who has the best international goals-per-game ratio?

On Tuesday evening, Neymar became just the third player from South America to reach 75 goals on the international stage.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar scored an ice-cold penalty in Brazil’s emphatic 5-1 win over Tunisia at the Parc des Princes.

Neymar’s strike in the World Cup warm-up match means he’s joined Pele and Lionel Messi in the exclusive three-man club.

The 30-year-old will soon surpass Pele’s all-time goal record for Brazil, which stands at 77. He may even achieve the feat out in Qatar later this year.

Neymar’s record on international duty really is special and something that further highlights that is his current goals-per-game ratio.

The former Barcelona man is now averaging 0.62 goals per appearance for Brazil, which is a better record than Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal.

Don’t believe us? Well, we’ve got the numbers to prove it.
