Antonio Conte will have to make do without the majority of his squad during the final international break of the season. Tottenham went into the break on the back of a 3-1 win against West Ham, taking them to fifth in the Premier League table.

After the London derby victory, the Italian spoke about the disappointment of now having to pause from league action, saying: "It’s a pity to have the international break in this moment because in this moment we are in good form, in a good moment about the results, the performance. I know very well there is an international break and with the players that have to go with the national team we will see them after nine days, ten days but with the others we prepared two different situations of rest."

The break hasn't come at the greatest time, as Tottenham have nine games left of the season to try and secure themselves a spot inside the top four. Spurs managed to end their win-lose pattern that they had created through most of 2022 so far, when they defeated David Moyes' side.

However, they will now have to wait before they try and create a winning streak. The break would've been a great time for Conte to spend a couple of weeks working really hard with his squad for the final stretch of the season. Luckily for his players but unluckily for him, the majority of them are on international duty. Pierluigi Gollini is the only player that wasn't called up to play
