Following the loan spell, Traore has recently returned to Wolves, where his future remains in doubt. As things stand, the winger has just one year left on his contract, meaning that he can leave as a free agent next summer – something that those at Molineux may want to avoid.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Talbot spoke about Traore, and a potential move to Leeds United, saying: “Raphinha and Traore, they’re both right sided, so that would make sense. He’s a cheap player, he is Premier League proven and he can, on his day, be absolutely phenomenal.

“He can do a lot of things that a lot of players can’t, big in size, a smart player. I didn’t realise it was £10m. I think that’s an absolute bargain.”

Leeds certainly need to replace Raphinha this summer; it could be crucial for their Premier League survival. And, by signing Traore for the £10 million stated by Talbot, they wouldn’t exactly be spending all of the money gained from Raphinha’s sale at once.

At his best, it’s difficult to point out many defenders capable of stopping Traore in his tracks. Look at the 2019/20 season, for example, the Wolves winger managed six goals and an impressive 12 assists in a campaign which made many look up and take notice of his impact.

Leeds could do with that output, too, given their poor form in front of goal last season. The Yorkshire club’s tally of 42 was worse than every club in the league, bar Wolves, Burnley, Watford, and Norwich City.
