'That combo again' - Man United fans rave over two players in build-up to Jadon Sancho goal vs Villa

Manchester United supporters are predicting big things from Jadon Sancho this season after the England forward netted another pre-season goal against Aston Villa. Sancho has three goals to his name this summer after struggling for consistent form during his debut campaign at the club.

After recording wins over Liverpool, Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace in their previous three games, United moved onto Perth for their final outing in Australia - but a pitch inspection was needed to ensure the Villa meeting went ahead due to pre-match concerns at the Optus Stadium. It is a venue used for several sports.

Erik ten Hag raised his own concerns with the surface when speaking before stepping into the dugout and those comments were vindicated when players from both teams struggled with their footing early doors. However, they did manage to get to grips with that challenge as Harry Maguire passed up an early headed opportunity.

Matty Cash and Marcus Rashford traded blows at either end, while Sancho then made his mark in an eye-catching moment that typified what Ten Hag wants from his players moving forwards. Indeed, several players were involved as Sancho provided the finish touch - despite tricky playing conditions.

Diogo Dalot started the move before Rashford and Luke Shaw, back in the United side for Tyrell Malacia, combined to devastating effect on the left-hand side. It was Shaw who eventually pulled the ball back and Sancho did the rest to steer beyond Emiliano Martinez between the Villa posts.
