Tesco slash beer prices up to 25 per cent for National Beer Day - but only if you have a Clubcard

Shoppers can snap up cans of their favourite beer for less this week as Tesco have slashed prices in celebration of National Beer Day. Yes, it’s a thing. We’ve checked.

Also known as Beer Day Britain, the annual day was launched in 2015 and is supported by the British Beer and Pub Association, the Society of Independent Brewers and the Campaign for Real Ale.

The event falls on June 15 each year, always near National Gin Day, which is celebrated on the second Saturday in June.

Tesco have reduced the price of some of their best-selling brand named beers by up to a quarter - but only for shoppers who have a Clubcard. Card holders can shop brands like Corona, Carlsberg, Brewdog and Beavertown, saving up to £2 per pack.

What’s more is that the offers are running until Sunday, June 19, making them the ideal Father’s Day gift, too.

Customers can pick up a four-pack of 440ml Brewdog Mallow Laser Quest Hazy IPA for £6 instead of £8, or opt for a 12 pack of 330ml Punk IPA for £13, saving £1. Alternatively, beer lovers can bag a mixed pack of Brewdog , featuring Punk IPA, Dead Pony Club, Elvis Juice and Hazy Jane for £13, down from £15.

Other cool craft beers on offer are Vocation’s Just Roll With It , saving £2 on a four pack of 440ml cans, costing £6, as well as Beavertown Neck Oil Session IPA, where four 330ml cans cost £6 instead of £7.50. The same deal is also available on their Lunar Haze Hazy IPA four-pack.
