Terrified women wake up to find stranger in their Mercure Manchester hotel room in the dead of night

Two women were left terrified when they woke up in the middle of the night to find a stranger in their hotel room.

The women, both in their early 30s, were sharing a room in the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly hotel last Saturday night, September 17, after travelling over to the city from Hull for a hen party. Both girls, who do not wish to be identified, got back to their twin hotel room on the ninth floor after a night out, before locking the door and heading to bed.

However, shortly after 2am, they woke to discover a man standing at the foot of the bed closest to the door. The terrified pair ushered him out but were too scared to leave the room to see where he went next. The hotel have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
