Ten Hag to Man Utd thrown into chaos with Ajax manager considering alternative offer Red Devils can’t match
The anticipated appointment of Erik ten Hag at Man Utd could yet be hijacked after a report revealed a tempting offer the Dutchman is considering from another European side.
Man Utd’s search for a new manager has seemingly driven them to Amsterdam. Ajax boss Ten Hag, 52, has been identified as the man to lead the rebuilding project at Old Trafford.
ESPN led the way, revealing why he had beaten out PSG’s Mauricio Pochettino as the favoured target to succeed Ralf Rangnick.
Fabrizio Romano then detailed why an announcement and total agreement between club and manager had yet to materialise. Should Ten Hag ultimately get the nod, club legend Cristiano Ronaldo may be forced out as early as this summer.
But according to the Sun, there may be bigger issues afoot.
Citing Dutch publication De Telegraaf, it’s claimed Ten Hag has an offer on the table from RB Leipzig. What’s more, the Sun state Ten Hag is ‘considering’ it.
The German side have reportedly already met with Ten Hag and paying off the £1.7m to get him out of his Ajax deal isn’t an issue.
