Telles, Fred, Bailly - Manchester United injury news ahead of Southampton fixture
Alex Telles will be available for selection for Manchester United's match against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
Telles didn't make United's squad for the shock FA Cup defeat at home to Middlesbrough and the club subsequently confirmed he returned a positive Covid-19 test before the game. He has since returned to training after a mandatory isolation period.
That means Ralf Rangnick could choose to start Telles or Luke Shaw on Saturday, with the latter having returned to full fitness.
Fred also tested positive for Covid after returning from international duty and he's unlikely to play after not training.
Rangnick confirmed Eric Bailly had 'some problems' with his ankle after the centre-back returned from the Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast and he's been recovering from that problem after arriving back in Manchester from the tournament.
The defender could be in contention to play at the weekend, but it seems highly unlikely after he failed to train this week.
Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard returned from their extended breaks against Burnley and they'll be available again.
United have no other fitness concerns ahead of the match versus Southampton.
