Teenager who died after car overturned in horror crash named as heartbreaking tributes pour in

Tributes have been paid to a teenager from Stockport who died in a horror crash just over the border in Cheshire. Niall Galloway died after a car overturned on Mudhurst Lane in Disley, on Thursday, November 2.

Cheshire Police said they were called to the rural road at around 10:20pm after the crash which involved just one vehicle - a grey BMW X5.

A 19-year-old man, who the force said was believed to be the driver, and who has now been confirmed to be Mr Galloway, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. However, he sadly died the following day, Friday, November 3.

Four passengers were taken to hospital with what police described as 'minor injuries.' Cheshire Coroner's Court confirmed a file had been passed to them regarding Mr Galloway's death.

An inquest is scheduled to be opened at the coroner's court in Warrington next week. A number of tributes, including balloons and photographs have been left close to the scene of the tragedy as well as outside a newsagent in the Hazel Grove area of Stockport.

A number of friends and loved ones have also taken to social media to pay tribute. One said: "Rest in peace mate." Another said: "RIP Niall Galloway I love you brother.

A third said: "Rip Niall Galloway you were so loved bro. Taken way too young but will sure never be forgotten." Whilst another said: "Still can't believe it. 4ever 19."
