Teenager sexually attacked woman as she slept in pub

A woman woke up after a night out to find a stranger sexually assaulting her.

Louis Griffiths invited his victim and her friends back to his home after befriending them in a takeaway in the early hours. But the 21-year-old performed a sex act on her after she had fallen asleep, then flew into a rage when he was confronted over his predatory behaviour.

Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, that the complainant had been out with friends in Warrington town centre in June 2021. Ken Grant, prosecuting, described how they visited Voodoo nightclub before leaving around 3am and visiting a pizzeria.

The complainant was fully clothed and under a blanket at this stage.

But he responded by "becoming aggressive" - shouting and smashing objects including a mirror, cutting his hand in the process. His mum and stepdad then returned home, at which point he began crying and apologising as the others
