Team news: Louise & Lucy Quinn start, Sinclair dropped

Louise Quinn has been passed fit for the Republic of Ireland's showdown against Canada at Perth Rectangular Stadium, with Lucy Quinn coming in for Marissa Sheva in Vera Pauw's solitary change.

Louise Quinn had been touch and go for the World Cup Group B clash after she injured her foot against Australia last Thursday. She trained fully on Tuesday evening and did enough in that workout to prove she's okay to take her place in the heart of the defence.

Heather Payne stepped out of the same training session with a tight hamstring but the Roscommon native has been given the green light to play. Niamh Fahey, Megan Connolly and Katie McCabe complete the five-player back line.

Sheva, who conceded the penalty that settled last week's collision with the Matildas, is dropped for Lucy Quinn, who goes into midfield alongside Denise O'Sullivan, Sinead Farrelly and Ruesha Littlejohn.
